Hidden Reefs:  Navigating the Challenges of Cross-Cultural Collaborations

As human services agencies we are increasingly challenged to pursue strategic partnerships and alliances.  Such partnerships require authentic collaboration. Before we can pursue a path toward greater efficiency through integration, we must first step back to engage in an honest assessment of the paradigms and assumptions that may be hidden beneath the surface of our organizations.

Just as our collaborative work at a personal level requires us to explore and examine the implicit biases and preconceptions operating under the surface for each of us, so too must we assess for the “hidden” elements of our individual organizational cultures before we are ready to engage in authentic and effective collaboration.

Join us for a two-day retreat in Door County as our facilitator, Jane Pirsig, guides us through a series of cultural models to help us identify and articulate our own, often unspoken, elements of organizational culture while we consider other paradigms that may align or diverge from our own. Through panel presentations and activities we will begin on Day 1 by “Mapping the Waters” and then shift in Day 2 to “Navigating Collaborative Waters.”

This one-of-a-kind, family inclusive event gathers members up in beautiful Door County for two days of retreat and joint learning. Agencies are encouraged to bring their leadership teams to deepen learning and deliver durable results for your organization.
