NEW! Summer Trauma Consultation Series with Anita Mandley, The Center for Contextual Change

Healing Trauma through the Collaborative Change Model  •  3-part online consultation series

(4.5 CE hours) 
Fridays from 9-10:30 AM, May 18, June 15 and July 13 (Enrollment Limited to 25 participants. Prerequisite: Must attend April 26 workshop)
(This consultation opportunity is subject to cancellation if there is low enrollment. Cancellation notice will be provided by May 4 and full refunds will be provided)

This case consultation group provides an opportunity to extend your learning from the April 26 workshop. will provide an opportunity for more in depth clinical exploration of the Collaborative Change Model, therapist and other caring professionals use of self and clinical interventions. Participants will receive articles to read before each group. Each session will begin with a 30 minute discussion of the assigned article, followed by two case consultations. Each participant will receive an outline describing the presentation format for the consultation. Agency teams are encouraged to participate.

 Learning Objectives:

  • How to monitor self, other, and relationship regulation
  • How to establish a healthy attachment with client and avoid merger or avoidance
  • How to manage client interactions so that the treatment process does not become a triggering event

About WAFCA-CE

For more than 25 years, WAFCA has provided quality, timely continuing education for professionals serving children and families in Wisconsin. Each year, we train more than 1,000 participants including social workers, therapists, counselors, case managers, residential care workers, parenting support aides and in-home support workers on topics ranging from family systems to addiction and trauma.

As an NBCC Approved Continuing Education ProviderTM (ACEP No.6778), WAFCA-CE is a trusted resource for continuing education for our member agencies and other behavioral health professionals in counties and in private practice.

Fees & More...

Fees for each 6-hour workshop:

• $95/session individual, non-WAFCA member participants.
• $75/session for WAFCA members
• Employees of WAFCA-CE subscribing agencies: Registration fees are covered under the annual agency subscription payment.

Cancellations:  A two-week cancellation notice is requested. Participants cancelling no later that one week prior to the event will receive a full refund.
