Workshop Description: Organizations with a high degree of belonging are:

  • 35% more likely to achieve industry-leading profitability due to enhanced collaboration, innovation and decision-making
  • 58% better at recruiting and retaining top talent with broad and diverse backgrounds by creating a culture of belonging
  • 59% more likely to improve company reputation by making your culture a differentiator for success among employees and customers.
For these reasons, the ability to build a culture of belonging is one of the most important leadership skills. In this interactive workshop participants learn what belonging at work is and why it matters as well as what it takes to develop and demonstrate inclusive leadership and communication skills in order to contribute to a culture of belonging.

Learning Objectives: Attendees will be able to...
  • Understand what belonging is and why it matters
  • Understand diversity, equity and inclusion definitions and how these concepts contribute to belonging
  • Learn 5 inclusive behaviors to apply to daily interactions and decisions that will contribute to a culture of belonging
  • Develop personal action plans to practice new inclusive behaviors

As a result, leaders will be inspired and equipped to put DEI competencies into practice right away at work to improve team engagement as well as drive more thoughtful decisions and better outcomes.
