  • WAFCA Annual Report - Celebrating 40 Years of Partnership
    It was a year of transitions and changes as WAFCA welcomed a new Executive Director and Linda Hall stepped into a new opportunity following more than 20 years of service to WAFCA members. The year highlighted the key components of WAFCA member value as we introduces new communities of practice, leveraged on our continuing education expertise to generate new grants to support expanded learning and advanced a strong advocacy agenda to secure new opportunities in home visiting, school mental health, child welfare and supports for the future mental health workforce.
  • WAFCA at Work for You 2018
    2018 featured continued progress in efforts to advance school-based mental health, provider reimbursement rates and best practice. WAFCA amplified the voice of our sector by coordinating connections with key policymakers and sharing our members' stories of recovery and resilience. Together we focused new energy on employee recruitment and retention through the launch of a new job board, growing the HR Community of Practice and advocating for tools to expand the behavioral health workforce.
  • WAFCA Year in Review 2017
    This past year included legislative successes in retained surplus and school-based mental health, while expanding our presence on the national policy front and continuing to gather members agencies to share resources on workforce development and growing new services to address changing needs in the human services sector.

  • Advocacy & Achievements 2016
    In 2016, WAFCA leaders raised the visibility of our association and our issues with legislators at the State Capitol, while quality improvement staff from a range of agencies came together to prepare a joint benchmarking project to measure impact.

    From mental health reform legislation to DCF administrative rules to celebrating 35 years of member services, 2015 was a big year.

    We re-branded our association, compiled data on member services, and focused on the the future of health care and role of human services in advancing population health.
